World Cup Skiing Rebrand
‘World Cup Skiing Rebrand’ was my final year project at Brunel. Its main aim was to both design and implement a new brand for a skiing programme.

I created a full graphics package from title sequence to leader boards. It required a range of skills in a number of design and video editing packages, including Viz Artist (a real time broadcast graphics system) and Microsoft Visual Basic.

There were 3 main aspects of this project.

  1. Create a title Sequence.
  2. Create real time and pre-rendered branded graphical elements
  3. Develop a program to control the real time graphics

The title sequence was films by myself in Les Menuires/Val Thornes in the French Alpes. All the footage is my own and was edited using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. The music is Embrace 'No Use Crying'.

The pre-rendered graphics were developed using a combination of After Effects and Terragen, while the realtime graphics were created using the VIZ Artist system.

All graphics were designed in Adobe Photoshop prior to their development.

The control program seen below was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

The result? A fullly designed brand, implemented and ready for television braodcast.
