Working Late - A 3D Film

Working Late' was inspried by the work of Pixar and John Lasseter. The idea for a story based around a stapler came from another 3D excercise where I animated a static object - in my case a stapler. The original stapler, also modelled in 3D Studio Max became my central character in my subsequent story.

I felt as this story was to appeal to all ages I kept it very simple. This is no narrative - there is no need for it. It follow early work such as Pixar Jr. which works so well as it communitcates through gesture. I wanted to try and emulate this success.

The movie took 4 weeks to develop and has a run time of just under 3 minutes. The textures are simple so the film doesn't look too complicated or cluttered, it can appeal to children and adults a like of all ages.

The film can be seen to the right using the video player, enjoy!
